Been using Mandigo for close to 3 years and never regretted it. Two thumbs up for functionality, style, and customisability!

  2. crackout says:

Could somebody please tell me what submenus are? I just don’t get it.

    • tom says:

The navigation submenu appears when you place your mouse over a link in the header which has nested pages.

The testrun doesn’t use it but here is an example spotted in the wild:
      http://besenpower.net/ (see “Galerie”)

      • crackout says:

Yeah, that’s my site. I figured it out, finally. Had some problems which made the dropdown to not show up. :)

However, the dropdown menu isn’t very stable in Firefox. Once the link title box shows up while you’re hovering a link, the menu disappears as soon as you move the mouse. In Safari, this problem doesn’t occur.

        • Jason Alley says:

I’m having the same issue with submenus disappearing in Firefox when the mouse is moved when one of the menu title popup boxes displays. We’re running Mandigo 1.4.1 on WP MU 2.8.4. I thought removing the title=”" attribute would work, but I can’t find where this variable is being set.

  3. Taradash says:

This theme is smooth, clean, stable and good-looking. With any luck, people will assume Mandigo’s qualities also apply to the person behind the blog. Thanks for the great theme.

  4. Dibujor says:

Been using Mandingo for long time now and since I discovered it I’ve never looked out for any other themes. It’s the best and most customizable theme I’ve found so far. I’ve made some minor customization to adapt to my site’s style (an illustrator blog) and that was really easy to make. Keep up the REALLY GOOD work!.

    Thanks

  5. mimi says:

It would be great to be able to download a simple version of Mandigo. I love this theme, but I hardly use any of those ajax buttons and things. In my case, those features just clutter my code :(

Anyways, I keep using Mandigo, I really like its flexibility.

  6. Mimi says:

Also, this is driving me nuts :(
when the website loads, the LEFT Sidebar appears in the middle of the page, and only moves to the LEFT, when the page completes loading.

  7. Steve says:

Firstly, all praise to Mandigo! Easy enough for a noob to use and still look slick and professional… with amazing amount of flexibility.

Anyway, I have an issue I’d like to ask about. I’d be happy to email you about it as you suggest, but I can’t find your email address anywhere. I have posted my question at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/300438. If there is some more appropriate way to handle it please just let me know.

    Thanks!

  8. Jeff says:

I love the theme as well — nice work!

One thing I’ve noticed lately is that I’m having problems getting my site sidebars (see http://www.nxtbot.com) to display properly when viewed with Internet Explorer 8. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem?

I’d love to stick with the theme, but I’ll have to switch to something else if I can’t get the sidebars to display properly in IE8.

Votre template est réellement superbe. Je l’utilise avec beaucoup de plaisir. il est très complet et esthétiquement très bien travaillé. Merci pour tout ces efforts, je ne manquerais pas de faire parti des donateurs. Cordialement Guido

    God i love this theme.

    we use it for http://www.skatefurther.com

love how you can insert pictures in the text boxes to totally customise it.

  11. I have used this theme on my blog ( http://www.EverydayNoDaysOff.com ) since I first started it a few months ago. Recently I got around to customizing it to match my website though, and I couldn’t be happier.

Thanks a lot for all the work you have done on it.. it sure works well and looks great!

Hi Tom and all of u folks.

After several days (almost a year ago) of searching for a great theme for a blog for my friend “Chantal”, I decided to use Mandigo! Not just for its awesome looks, but also for its awesome easy of use and customization.

(there are probably other themes out there also as good or better?, but I didnt find them!) ;)

Lately Im having a bit of trouble though because of a hacker, so if u visit the site and it appears all white, then visit again later. (as Im constantly fighting this sucker or its injected shit)

    The url: http://chantal.dimagix.com

I will most surely use Mandigo for more blogs.. but probably not the next one, that will be a magazine kind, with lots of sections. (it could be done in mandigo for sure, but I think Im going to choose another one.. dont know wich one yet)

    Cheers!

    • Beni says:

Well, I forgot I posted here, but wanted to tell you all, that my site is up&running again!

The issue wasnt easy to fix, but the most important was to change the login names of users (even admin!) and create new passwords aswell, then reinstall (over the existing one) the theme.

      It works! ;)

so please, dont forget to visit my girly friend “Chantal” hers http://chantal.dimagix.com blog! and now with online “and fast” translator in every language!.. aswell as a suscribe option that will get you the opportunity to win prizes!! (for free!!) :P

If any1 needs help with this kind of stuff, contact me! (my email is in the Contact Page at her blog)

  13. This is a great theme to use for your WordPress Blog! Having all the choices of the various color schemes allows you to focus on your content. I love the option of choosing how many columns. I opted for the single column, and believe me there are very few of these around, and when you do find one, most likely it won’t be customizable like Mandigo is. Especially with it being free!

Once I worked on the content, I was then able to go back and change the images to reflect what my blog is about. Again very easy to customize. Thanks for all your hard work Tom, it truly shows!

So please take a moment right now and visit my site to see what I’ve done with the place!

    All The Best!
    Saya G.

Great theme, period. One thing I struggle with – how to change font on home page, posts and sidebars? Theme use sans, but I want to use Georgia… Any suggestions? thanks.

  17. I’am using Mandigo 1.41 since a fee weeks and apreciate the functionalities and desing.
Somme of my friends had difficulties to open the post as they where searching for a underlined blue link or “Click here for detail…”.

His there any way to add this and how to do it?
    Thanks

  18. I have never tried Mandigo, it seems to have some good features like easy to customize, valid XHTML/CSS, search engine friendly & Sponsor free.

  19. I really appreciate the theme since a fee weeks.
    It’s very professional.

I now merged in a single blog (http://blog.lemonde-apres.com) the posts from 2 other persons and would apreciate to see the Gravatar image in front of their post in the home page.
If I am not wrong, I didn’t found this functionality.
I suggest you add this possibility or at list write what is the modification I must do to have this.

    Thanks.

    Hi Tom!
I’m desperate here! I just updated WordPress to 2.9 and now the comment form doesn’t work anymore – only in IE. It works fine on Firefox.

On IE it just goes to the top of the page and doesn’t insert the comment.

    Please bear my English

  21. I have just installed your theme in my Greek Blog. It was installed smoothly and all the Greek fonts perfect. Congratulation! I will soon post my blog here for other Greek users. Regards

Hy. I have a litle problem with this template. I use the 1024px theme look with 3 columns first sidebar on the left and second ont the right. The problem is that search does not work when first sidebar in on the left; the second problem, when i open the website the sidebars are on the right and after 1-2 sec. the first sidebar move on left side. Both problems occur when using iexplorer.

Great theme : really easy to customize and still no pbs with any modification I tried. (+ I am a noob). Thx a lot !

  31. Congratulations on your work! This is an excellent theme which we have been using for months with great success.

Just a note: when the website loads, the LEFT Sidebar appears in the middle of the page, and only moves to the LEFT, when the page completes loading. Can you fix that?
    Regards

  32. SPC says:

Our site is providing Mandigo 1.33.1, which I’m not able to change.

There appears to be a defect in the rendering of nested ordered/unordered lists. If I create an ordered list and nest an unordered list within one of the list list items the unordered list will be displayed as ordered. If I switch to one of the other themes our site is providing the lists will be display correctly.

    Item one
    Item two

    Unordered item
    Another unordered item

I see my example failed to survive the posting process.

I’ve been meaning to drop by and say that I love Mandigo; it does everything I wanted in a theme and I’ve been using it on one of my sites for a couple of years at least. I’m hoping you’ll update it to be fully compatible with WP 3.0, but even if not, it’s been of great use to me and thank you so much for creating it.

  35. Online says:

    Hello,

I have a small bug with wordpress 3.0:
Option thème –> “Vous n’avez pas les droits suffisants pour accéder à cette page.”
    problem also with insert html…

    Best regards

  36. Brent says:

    Awesome! Love Mandigo!

  37. Ben McKenzie says:

Very happy to see the 3.0 update! Do you have any plans to add 3.0 menu support? Mandigo has one of the best menu implementations I’ve seen, it’d be great if it worked with the built-in stuff in WP 3.0.

I still have one bug: under WP 3.0, with both Mandigo 1.41 and 1.42, the sidebars do not display correctly. In the Theme Options I have the set to appear to the left and right of the main column, but they both appear on the right.

Even with this minor issue, it’s a brilliant theme and I’ve been using it very happily for a year or two. I can’t remember if I’ve previously sent you a donation, but I’ll send along another one just to be sure. Thanks again!
